Ladbrokes Amateurs Derby Day is the first major race for the Mackay Turf Club 2024 racing calendar.

The day features 7 local races which includes the running of the Labrokes Amateurs Cup and Open Handicap with prize money of $35,000 for the 2 major races.  So we are sure to attract race goers from far & wide.

Get right amongst the action with VIP tickets to the Winning Post Trackside Marquee or tickets to the air-conditioned Champagne Bar which offers private bar and toilets and spectacular views of the track with direct access from your room to the grandstand.

Fashions on the Field registrations open from 11.30am-1pm.

Sportsman Bar & Betting Ring available for general admission.

Bookmakers on course.

Live entertainment after the last race.  Then catch a FREE buses to MOJO's our official after party venue.

The Mackay Turf Club is committed to lessoning our carbon footprint and with this in mind the club will now provide 1 "reusable polycarbonate glass" for patron’s use on the day in our outside areas.  Each eligible patron will be issued with one glass at the beginning of the day, and it is our expectation they will use this glass throughout the day. Our staff will only be too happy to wash your glass if needed.   Replacement glass will be at patron’s expense.
